Specsavers in Gravesend has championed road safety in the community by donating high visibility vests to a local primary school.

Pupils at local school Ifield Primary School were thrilled to get their free high-vis jackets. They are perfect for school outings and help the children remain seen by drivers when out and about.

'Delighted to make a donation'

Lucy Wignall, store director at Specsavers in Gravesend, says: ‘We are delighted to have been able to make this donation to the school as every pupil now has his or her own vest to wear every day in the evening.’

A representative from the school said: ‘I would like to say a big thank you to Specsavers on behalf of Ifield School for your extremely generous donation of the high visibility jackets.

‘We are constantly having to purchase these as they often get lost and your kindness has been gratefully received.'
