One of the store directors at Specsavers in Gravesend has just retired after 25 years of service, having been at the store since its opening in 1993.
Blair Hunter started his career as an optometrist and store director at Specsavers in Gravesend. Over the years, Blair and the other director, Dominic Candon, managed to affirm themselves within the local community and always strived to create and maintain a pleasant environment for both staff and customers.
Blair Hunter says: ‘I can’t thank the fabulous people I have worked with over the years and my special patients enough for all their support over the years. I am looking forward to the next chapter of my life, but will also miss them very dearly.’
Dominic Candon will be joined by Lucy Wignall as retail director and Shaun Rahman as optometrist and store director.
Exciting future ahead
Lucy says: ‘I am incredibly excited to be taking over from Blair. He has contributed to building a wonderful store that not only provides the best clinical care, but also treats our patients as part of our family.’
Shaun adds: ‘We have lots of exciting plans for the future of the store. We plan to invest further on new, state-of-the-art equipment to ensure we provide our customers with the best level of eye care and hear care – watch this space!’
