Grantham Specsavers donated more than £150 worth of food to the local foodbank over the festive period.
Staff at The Isaac Newton Centre store were overwhelmed with the support for the collection which they ran in store in the lead up to the Christmas break.
‘It’s so heartening to see how much people really do care for those less fortunate than themselves – and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who made a donation to the foodbank,’ says Specsavers Grantham store director, Bijal Ladva.
The Grantham foodbank, based at Grey Friars, provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food to local people who are referred in crisis. It is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust.
