Staff at Specsavers in Gosport have been taking on extra training to help them develop their understanding about glaucoma.

Team members from the store have completed a course developed in conjunction with the International Glaucoma Association, which will enable them to provide further care for people suffering from the condition.

Raising awareness

In addition, Specsavers Gosport has given its support to World Glaucoma Week this month (11-18 March), an initiative designed to raise awareness of the condition that is thought to affect around 700,000 people in the UK.

Philippe Brogan, store director at Specsavers Gosport, said: ‘Taking the course will ensure we are providing patients with the most up-to-date advice and care around glaucoma.’
