The Gorseinon team has donated a variety of hygiene and clothing items to be included in care packages for young homeless women in Swansea.
Commitment to local causes
The staff donated personal hygiene items, chocolate, hats, scarves and fluffy socks to the Swansea Young Single Homeless Project (SYSHP), a local charity providing practical and emotional support to homeless 16 to 25-year-olds, who often have complex needs, such as mental illness.
Helping those less fortunate
Store manager, Elizabeth Berrell, says: ‘We are proud to have been able to help support this wonderful charity and create care packages for eight young females.
‘This charity is one we feel particularly close to at the Gorseinon store as one of our customers would talk to us generally about the problems facing young homeless people in the city. We hope that our packages were able to make these young individuals smile, not just because of the items they received but knowing people in the community care and support is available.
‘We are committed to supporting our local community, especially charities seeking to improve the lives of people who are less fortunate than us.’
