Staff at Specsavers Gorseinon recently turned superheroes for a day to raise funds for children with brain conditions and their families.
The team dressed as their favourite characters, including Wonder Woman, Superman and Buzz Lightyear, to encourage donations for the charity Cerebra.
Cerebra gives practical and physical support to children with brain conditions such as cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome and traumatic brain injuries. At its Innovation Centre, which is based in Swansea, the charity’s experts provide customised wheelchairs, rocking chairs, sledges and more.
The organisation also offers a range of practical and emotional support to children and their families.
Elizabeth Berrell, manager of the High Street store, says: ‘As always, our customers and local residents dug deep to support us and we are hugely grateful to them.
‘Cerebra is a wonderful charity that makes life easier for many children and their families. I am proud of the team for making such an effort with their costumes and raising a good amount for a great cause.’
