The Specsavers store in Gorseinon joined in on the recent carnival spirit celebrated in the town with its own in store charity event.
The Gorseinon town carnival theme this year was Disney orientated and store staff got involved by dressing up as their favourite Disney character in a bid to help raise funds for Velindre Cancer Care.
The High Street store was also decked in a Disney-themed window display, while cakes and mocktails were sold to raise further funds towards the overall fundraising total of £30. Additionally, there was face painting for the children, balloons were handed out and there was a children’s colouring in competition.
Store director, Sallyanne Colquhoun, says: ‘The team at Specsavers looked brilliant on carnival day and I would like to thank everyone for participating and really putting in the effort with the Disney-themed costumes.
‘We’d like to say a huge thank you to the local community who visited the store on the day and donated. Every penny counts, and we know that this money will be put to good use. We all enjoyed the carnival theme and we are hoping to host more fundraising events in the near future.’
