The Gorseinon team has raised £75 for Cerebra by raffling an eggs-tra large hamper.
For a great cause
Customers were encouraged to donate £1 for the chance to win an Easter-inspired hamper of chocolate eggs and cuddly toys. Loyal customer Mrs Barbara Webber was the lucky winner.
The money raised will be donated to Cerebra, a charity that supports children aged up to 16 living with a range of neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autistic spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders and traumatic brain injuries. It also supports their families.
Special support and services
The High Street store is one of 39 Specsavers opticians across south and mid Wales raising funds for Cerebra’s support services and research work as part of a year-long charity partnership.
Store manager, Elizabeth Berrell, says: ‘Cerebra does fantastic work and the support its staff give to children and their families is incredible. One of our optometrists, Stephen Muldoon, attended the launch of our charity partnership earlier this year and saw first-hand the positive difference the charity has made.
‘We’re really pleased to have kicked off the fundraising for Cerebra and to have made a contribution to such a worthy cause.’
