During the Autumn half term, Specsavers in Godalming had lots of fun!

Children's Eye Health Week

This year, half term coincided with Children's Eye Health Week - a time that encourages parents to have their child's vision checked.   An eye examination will check vision problems but also the overall eye health and sometimes, wider issues can be picked up.

Fun for kids

To ensure Godalming's little VIPs were kept amused during the week, the store also laid on some free fun. Face painting helped raise money for the Guide Dogs and a colouring in competition was also held in store.

A word from the store director

Store director Mark Dunn said: 'Parents loved the entertainment as did the kids. Children needing frames also got to see our new My Little Pony range that "trotted" into the store during the same week.

'We advise that children have their first sight test at around the age of three, but if they are experiencing any problems before this age - a squint, or holding objects close to their face, for example - do pop in. Our friendly team of audiologists are on hand to help.'
