The team from Specsavers in Gloucester took part in this year’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.
On Friday 28 September, staff hosted a stall in the Eastgate Shopping Centre and invited customers and passers-by to sample delicious cakes and hot drinks in return for donations.
A word from the store director
‘Macmillan do such a brilliant job across the UK and we are always happy to show our support at Specsavers in Gloucester,’ said store director, Paul Chessell. ‘We were delighted to see that the coffee and cake went down a treat and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made a donation.’
Last year people across the UK raised almost £30 million for Macmillan by taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and this year it has raised £10 million so far. It is Macmillan’s aim to support those affected by cancer and ensure nobody faces it alone.
