To mark Mother’s Day, Specsavers in The Kingdom Centre raffled a bumper haul of gifts to fundraise for Fife Women’s Aid.
Specsavers Glenrothes spread some pre-Mother’s Day love by setting up a bake sale and raffle packed with prizes from local businesses, raising £117.48 for charity across the weekend.
The prizes included a luxury gel nail treatment from popular local beauticians Flawless and a cut, finish and intensive treatment at one of the most prestigious hair salons in Glenrothes – Alison Stewart Hairdressing.
A bouquet of fresh flowers from local florist Charmed Willow, single vision designer glasses worth up to £125 from Specsavers and £300 worth of fibroblast rejuvenating skin treatment at Flawless made up the top prize.
Boost for lucky mums
Specsavers Glenrothes store director, Stewart Wilson, said: ‘Our store was a hive of activity and it was great to offer a Mother’s Day boost to several lucky mums.
‘I’d like to thank all the local businesses that donated prizes to our raffle and to the store team for cooking up a storm to stock our bake sale with plenty treats.
‘We felt Mother’s Day was a perfect occasion to help raise awareness and vital funds for Fife Women’s Aid – we’re delighted to present the charity with this great sum. Thank you for all the kind donations.’
