A word from the store director
Angela Lucas, store director at Specsavers Glasgow Forge, said: ‘None of us are experienced hillwalkers so I am super proud that we successfully completed our challenge and a result raised a significant amount for RNIB.
‘In store, we regularly work with people living with sight loss and RNIB is a great charity that provides practical and emotional support for visually impaired people that we are really happy to support.
‘I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to sponsor us, we are overwhelmed with the kind donations and they have really kept us going through our training and the challenge itself.’
Each volunteer that took part was committed to a fundraising pledge of £495. To reach their pledge the trio held various fundraising activities within store with the aim of raising as much money as possible for the sight loss charity.
