Red Nose Day is offering more than just Red Noses this year. Bright red comedy glasses with hair-raising eyebrows, as modelled by the fabulous Gok Wan have also arrived in the area.
Visitors to Specsavers in Bradford and Girlington can follow in the footsteps of Gok Wan and make their faces funny for money with Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day glasses in children or adult sizes, for just £3 with £1 donated to Comic Relief.
Everyone who buys a pair of Comic Relief specs at Specsavers on Darley Street in Bradford is invited to enter a lucky dip for the chance to win a pair of designer frames. On Red Nose Day, Friday 13 March, the in-store team will draw a raffle ticket at random to choose the winner.
Pete Rooke, retail director at Specsavers in Bradford and Girlington, said: ‘We’re all set to make our faces funny for money in support of the great work that Comic Relief does.
‘We want to encourage everyone, young and old, to come and pay us a visit, join in the fun and buy their Red Nose Day glasses!’
Over the course of the month leading up to Red Nose Day, the staff at both stores busied themselves with a variety of fundraising activities, from dressing in red to wearing wacky wigs and of course, the official Comic Relief glasses. Customers could pose with the photo frames dotted around the Darley Street store to join Bradford Specsavers' Comic Relief 'Wall of Fame'.

From painting their faces to donning the Specsavers funny specs millions of people up and down the country will be making their faces funny and raising life changing cash. The money raised through Red Nose Day helps poor and vulnerable people living incredibly tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
