Specsavers Galashiels is helping to keep local children safer by donating high visibility vests to a local nursery during Road Safety Week (20-26 November).
The store donated vests to the children from St Peter’s Nursery to ensure the children remain visible in the darker evenings.
The donation is part of the store’s ongoing commitment to help local children stay safer on the streets by being clearly visible to motorists.
Store director at Specsavers in Galashiels, Stuart Forrester, said: ‘It is a real pleasure to play our role in keeping the children of St Peter’s Nursery safe and visible during the winter.
‘The vest always come in handy with nursery trips as they make it easy for teachers to spot every child in their group. We are continually looking for ways to give back to the local community and were only too happy to help with the donation.’
