Loyal Specsavers staff member Sarah De’gannes recently celebrated her ten-year milestone anniversary at Specsavers Fulham.
Since joining the team in 2007, Sarah has worked her way up the ranks from administration assistant to managing the Fulham store’s contact lens business.
Always keen to develop both personally and professionally, Sarah enrolled onto a sign language course in order to better communicate with all of her customers.
She said: ‘I have a couple of friends who are deaf and I always wanted to be able to better communicate with them.
‘Customers are always happy when they meet staff who speak their language, and I’d like to be able to confidently talk to them and make their experience in store smoother and more enjoyable.’
Sarah was presented with a certificate of service by store director Nimesh Modi to mark the milestone.
Specsavers Fulham store director, Alice Cole, said: ‘Sarah plays an important role in our team and certainly deserves to be rewarded for her commitment and loyalty.
'On behalf of everyone we’d like to thank her for her incredible contribution, and we hope she’s here to celebrate in another ten years!’
