Customers visiting the Specsavers store will be able to get their hands on a delicious slice of home-made cake in exchange for a charitable donation this Red Nose Day (Friday 24 March).
Members of staff will also be taking part in the fundraising fun by hosting a pub quiz night with other local businesses to raise extra cash.
Comic Relief supporters in Frome are also able to accessorise their red nose with comedy waving hand glasses.
Priced at just £2 and available in store now, all money raised from sales of the specs will be donated to Comic Relief. The glasses come in both adult and children’s sizes.
Store director Martyn Thomas said: ‘The glasses are fantastic and we’ll be encouraging everyone who buys a pair to also join our giant Mexican wave on social media as well.
'Simply strike a pose with your glasses and post with the #GiveUsAWave to receive your very own wave back.’
‘We’re always keen to support Comic Relief and are delighted to have the opportunity to raise funds again this Red Nose Day,’ Martyn added. ‘Every penny matters and I’d like to encourage all of our customers to visit us in store on Friday to get involved.’
Specsavers in Frome has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.
Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
