The Specsavers Hearing Centres across Tayside, Angus and Perthshire have invested £30,000 in five members of its team to ensure they are delivering the best customer service.
Forfar's Caryn MacKenzie has joined staff from around the area on the Diploma of Higher Education: Hearing Aid Audiology course at Queen Margaret University in Musselburgh.
At the end of the two-year course each will be qualified Hearing Aid Dispensers, and will be able to add to the expertise in each store.
David Parsons, from Specsavers Hearing Centres, will oversee the students’ in-store training whilst they work towards their qualification.
‘It’s been a busy summer with the launch of our Hearing Centres and to have five members of staff enrol at QMU is extremely encouraging.
‘At Specsavers we believe in growing and nurturing our team so the investment we have made in our five employees demonstrates our commitment to providing the best customer service possible.’
Specsavers launched new state-of-the-art Hearing Centres in Dundee, Arbroath, Forfar and Perth in June. The service has proved to be extremely popular, with numbers doubling since the launch.
