A Folkestone Scouts group will stand out when delivering Christmas cards to the local community thanks to a donation of high-visibility vests from Specsavers.

Supporting Road Safety Week

To mark Road Safety Week (20-26 November), Specsavers on Bouverie Place donated the vests to the enthusiastic 1st Ceriton Scout Group, to ensure they will stay safe during the dark winter months, including when delivering local Christmas cards to the community.

A word from the store director

Alistair Elgar-Williams, store director, said: ‘It’s important to talk to kids about the importance of being safe and seen when on the road. The hi-vis vests we’ve donated to their group will hopefully help to keep the children safer on the roads during the early evenings, while giving those who look after them greater peace of mind.’
