Specsavers in Farnham went all out with some 'vintage chic' to fundraise for Blind Veterans UK this month.
Supporting a great charity
In the lead up to Remembrance Sunday, colleagues decided to hold a bake sale and dress up in 1940s attire to raise money for a charity close to their hearts.
Blind Veterans UK is a cause supported nationally by all stores, and Farnham included played their part in raising money that will go on to help visually impaired ex servicemen and women.
Blind Veterans UK
This great charity helps blind ex-service men and women lead independent and fulfilling lives by supporting them with their in-depth expertise, experience and full range of services.
The charity gives veterans much-needed support to adjust to sight loss, overcome the challenges of blindness and enjoy daily life. The charity has been offering physical and emotional support to vision-impaired veterans since 1915.
Thank you to Farnham
While the money is still being counted up, store director Lateef Iqbal knows that locals were very generous with donations and would like to express his thanks.
Lateef said: 'The team here did a fantastic job of whipping up some cake delights and we are so grateful to customers and residents who kindly donated on the day. When all donations are counted up across the country, I promise you all that it does make a big difference.'
