Farnham is set to go cycle mad on 2 July with its Festival of Cycling and eager to get involved is the Specsavers team.
Pimp my ride!
The store has had delivery of a pre-loved bike ready to redecorate and 'pimp up' ahead of the Festival. Store director Lateef Iqbal and Emma Rice have tested its pedal power and feel that, post its redesign, it could be a serious contender for future races! The bike will be displayed alongside other models on the kids trail and will be sold off for charity in the following weeks.
The day is set to be a major event in Farnham's 2017 calender. Roads will be closed and cars will be banished as thousands of lycra-donned cyclists of all abilities descend on the town for a day devoted to the bicycle.
Lots of events will be taking place at The Maltings on the day and Specsavers is thrilled to be involved. They will be providing a fruit-smoothie bike that sees pedal-power pulp fruit into delicious drinks. Do pop by and see this wonderful creation in action on the day!
