Specsavers in Farborough has raised nearly £400 in a bake sale for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Homemade sweet treats
Farnborough residents enjoyed homemade sweet treats and a raffle on Saturday 26 July as part of a fundraiser which has raised nearly £3,000 overall for the charity so far.
Staff from Specsavers, located inside Princes Mead Shopping Centre, unleashed their inner Delia Smiths in a bake sale and raffle outside the store, with 15 raffle prizes including a giant teddy bear, chocolate and a picture frame.
The event was part of an ongoing fundraiser for the charity, with a goal to hit £5,000 in donations which will allow the store to name a guide dog puppy.
Store Director Danny Solel said: ‘We’re so happy to have hit over our halfway target.
‘Guide Dogs for the Blind does amazing work for people who need help getting around and going about their daily lives. The charity needs all the support it can get and our bake sale and raffle took us one step closer to hitting our target. We're very keen for people to keep donating.’
