An optometrist from Falmouth is lacing up her running shoes and hitting the road to help raise vital funds for Vision Aid Overseas (VAO).
Great Ethiopian run
Julianne Hellyer, optometrist at Specsavers Falmouth, is currently preparing for the Great Ethiopian run this November. Julianne said: ‘I’m really excited to be training for the Great Ethiopian Run in November. I have already managed to raise £1000 but I need to raise another £1,500 to take part.
It is a huge challenge and I am pleased that I have the backing of colleagues in my store. This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of Vision Aid Overseas valuable work abroad.’
Store director Paul McGrane said: ‘Everyone in store and in the community is behind Julianne’s fundraising efforts. We are thrilled that Julianne has already raised £1000 and I encourage everyone to donate a little towards the cause.’
