Staff from the Exmouth store have undertaken a fundraising push for the Exeter Kidney Unit during October.
Exeter Kidney Unit
Throughout the week of fundraising, collected money for the Exeter Kidney Unit with a table top sale, cakes and glasses repairs in return for donations. The store also held a raffle offering customers the chance to win a designer pair of glasses, with UltraClear coating on the lenses. The store organised the fundraising event to support Tina Ketteridge- Allen who has trained Specsavers staff across Devon and Cornwall and is having Kidney Dialysis treatment three times a week at the unit.
Ria Heskins, store director at Specsavers Exmouth, says: ‘As a store we love fundraising for good causes, but this is one is extra special and very close to our heart. Tina has made a big impact on staff across the region and we wanted to do something to help.
We are thrilled to have raised £194 for the cause and hope that this raises awareness for the unit and the support available.’
