As part of Specsavers drive to raise awareness of the importance of hearing care, a member of the Evesham team has won a once in a lifetime experience.
Madalina Todirica, ophthalmic dispensing assistant at the Evesham store, took part in a recent incentive to showcase Specsavers AudioPad technology to customers and encourage them to have their hearing checked.
Throughout September Madalina used the AudioPad to help customers with their hearing concerns which entered her into the prize draw for a trip for two to swim with dolphins in Mexico.

Store director, Amy Liau said: ‘I’m so proud of Madalina, she is such a deserving winner of the incentive. It really is an amazing opportunity and I hope she has a wonderful time.’
The AudioPad is a clever piece of technology which provides a comprehensive hearing test using just a tablet and headphones. Offering a quicker alternative to the full hearing test, the results are available instantly and automatically saved to a customer’s records for ease of access at a later date.

On her win, Madalina said: ‘I still can’t believe it. It’s such an incredible prize and although I was simply doing my job, I think it’s amazing that Specsavers offer rewards such as this for fulfilling different parts of our role in store.’
Experts recommend a hearing test every two years for those over 55 or for anyone with a hearing loss.
