Staff at the Eltham store hosted a week-long fundraising drive as part of Armed Forces week.
To show support for Blind Veterans UK, Specsavers in Eltham raised £533 for the charity by hosting a bake sale and book sale, as well as donating £1 from every sight test carried out during the week.
Michael Williams, store director at Specsavers in Eltham, said: ‘We are proud to have taken part in Armed Forces Week. Blind Veterans UK provides crucial support to those who have either lost or had their sight damaged while representing our country in the armed forces.
‘We’d like to thank everyone involved for their generous donations. It’s through donations like this that Blind Veterans UK can continue to give its members their independence back and helps them discover a life beyond sight loss.’
