Specsavers in Fort Kinnaird recently played its part in supporting the local community by sponsoring two sports education awards. The store sponsored the Volunteer of the Year and Best Coach awards at Ross High’s Sports Personality of the Year awards ceremony.

Celebrating success
The awards recognise those pupils and volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to sport and activity at Ross High School.

Store director, Tracy Galloway, said: ‘The awards offer a unique opportunity to pay tribute to those inspirational individuals who are making outstanding contributions to their school communities.

Dedicated to the community
‘As a store we are dedicated to supporting the local community and promoting healthy living, so it was with great privilege that we sponsored two awards at the school’s Sports Personality of the Year awards.’

Staff and pupils were recognised at the awards ceremony on 16 June. Chey Carrigan was awarded Pupil Volunteer of the Year while Adam Welsh won Coach of 2015.
