Contact lens services at Specsavers in Ebbw Vale have been bolstered by the arrival of a specialist lens optician.
‘Fast, high-quality service’
Laura Sparke brings 16 years of optical experience to the Bethcar Street store, where she will provide support and treatment for customers using contact lenses, or thinking about trying them.
Having first joined Specsavers as an optical assistant in Bournemouth in 2001, Laura later qualified as a dispensing optician. Following nearly 16 years on the south coast, she has now followed in the footsteps of retail director Paul Smith, who also recently relocated from Bournemouth to work across Specsavers’ stores in Ebbw Vale and Abergavenny.
Laura will do likewise, helping increase the availability of contact lens appointments for customers and ensure a fast, high-quality service.
‘I’m delighted to be joining Paul and the rest of the team and to be providing dedicated contact lens support to our customers in Ebbw Vale and Abergavenny,’ said Ms Sparke.
‘Technological advances in recent years mean contact lenses are an accessible and easy-to-use alternative for most customers. It’s our job to ensure they know their options and receive the most appropriate contact lenses. ‘I look forward to using my experience to improve the experience for those in need.’
Sejal Shah, Specsavers store director in Ebbw Vale, added: ‘While we have provided contact lens support for several years, Laura’s expertise and knowledge will be invaluable to our customers and I have every faith she will excel in her new role with us.’
