Specsavers in Eastwood has teamed up with sister-stores in Beeston, Ilkeston and Long Eaton to donate to the popular Hemlock Happening festival, ensuring that it goes ahead this summer after struggling with funding.
Donations from local businesses
The Specsavers stores donated a total of £5,200, alongside other donations from local businesses, to cover the costs of a big-top tent hosting the main stage and bar.
Store director Krishnar Parmar said: ‘When we heard the festival needed support, we stepped in to offer sponsorship. It’s a great event for all the family, and ensuring the much-loved event continues each year is important for the community.’
The festival will include live music, performances from local schools, opportunities to try out various sports, arts and crafts with interactive workshops as well as fairground rides and food stalls. The event will conclude with a fabulous fireworks finale.
