The team at Specsavers in Eastleigh demonstrated their dedication to providing unbeatable service last month after receiving two commendations from customers.
A local resident has singled out dispensing optician Rick Tarrant for being ‘thoroughly professional’ when helping him to change the varifocals he was using.
He says: ‘We decided to replace the varifocals with separate reading and distance glasses, with a no quibble refund for the difference. I also wanted a pair of prescription glasses for clay shooting. Here, Rick excelled in his level of help.
‘One does not often encounter exceptional service these days but Rick provided it. I was very happy with his service and that provided by Specsavers at Eastleigh.’
In addition, Kieran has written in to give his thanks to another member of the Eastleigh team, Uri Fixler.
Kieran had visited the store over a year ago to have his eyes tested after experiencing headaches while at work. He was prescribed glasses and the symptoms subsided, but had recently returned to the opticians after he began suffering migraines.
‘The gentleman that saw me (Uri) was very considerate, and genuinely concerned. He talked me through the process of an eye test and asked a lot of questions to help get to the bottom of the issue. As it turned out, I had been prescribed glasses that were too strong for my eyes the first time I went.
‘He was very friendly and a great asset to your company. He was genuine, informative and has a natural way with customers. Having worked in various customer service roles myself, he stands out massively. Please pass this on to his manager and give the lad a bonus/pay rise for a great delivery of service.’
