Staff from an East Kilbride opticians raised £630 for The Royal Hospital for Sick Children by completing a challenging obstacle course.
The team from Specsavers in East Kilbride Shopping Centre took part in Tough Mudder Half which comprises 13 obstacles over a five-mile course.
Family, friends and customers were able to sponsor the team’s efforts which raised £315, with the store director matching the total to double the donation to £630.

Shirley-Ann Kennedy, director of Specsavers in East Kilbride, said: ‘I’m very proud of our Tough Mudder team for taking on such a daunting challenge in aid of a wonderful cause.
‘They all had a fantastic time and worked together to overcome the obstacles.
‘We’re all delighted to raise a fantastic sum for The Royal Hospital for Sick Children.’
