A footy official paid a pre-match visit to Specsavers, sponsor of the Scottish FA referees.
Match official Alasdair Ross joined staff for a test at Specsavers in the EK shopping centre, ahead of a crunch Scottish Cup fifth-round match.
Alasdair has almost 20 years of refereeing experience and is a former FIFA assistant referee. He worked at Euro 2012 as well as being involved in UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches.
Store director at Specsavers in East Kilbride, Shirley-Ann Kennedy, said: ‘The whole town was really excited for East Kilbride’s game against Celtic.
‘Specsavers is delighted to support the Scottish referees – our partnership with the Scottish FA goes far beyond just a logo on a shirt. We’re committed to helping to provide grassroots training for potential referees, inspiring respect for match officials and making sure they are in top condition through regular sight and hearing tests carried out in our stores across Scotland.’
