The local opticians has raised almost £930 for charities and good causes in the past year.
Specsavers in East Kilbride held a number of fundraising events in 2015, with proceeds donated to Sense Scotland and Guide Dogs Scotland.
Charity football match
Staff from the store joined forces to take on a team from Specsavers in Airdrie and Coatbridge for a charity football match to raise funds for Sense Scotland.
Both sides had strong support from the crowd of colleagues, family and friends, and it was East Kilbride that came out on top, winning 7-3.
The store also organised a bake sale of cakes and treats to raise funds for Guide Dogs Scotland and had a very special visit from some of the charity’s guide dogs in-training.
Supporting vital charities
Shirley-Ann Kennedy, director of Specsavers in East Kilbride, said: ‘It is very important to us to support worthy charities and help highlight their great work.
‘I would like to thank our customers for their support last year and our staff for organising some fantastic charity events and look forward to further community initiatives this year.’
