An opticians in Eastbourne will be channelling their inner Mary Berry to raise vital funds for a local cause.
Specsavers in Eastbourne will be hosting a bake sale on Friday 3 October to raise funds for the Eastbourne Ambulance Community First Responders. An array of deliciously home baked cakes will be available for customers to enjoy in return for donations.
Matt Briggs, store director of Specsavers Eastbourne, who is also a volunteer First Responder for the Ambulance Service, comments: ‘The staff have been taking inspiration from the Great British Bake Off and have been working on their baking skills!
'We hope to raise a significant amount for what is a great cause.’
Eastbourne Ambulance Community First Responders
The Eastbourne Ambulance Community First Responders are volunteers trained to respond to certain emergency 999 calls on behalf of the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust serving the local community.
