The team at Specsavers in Dunstable is always looking for new ways to raise community awareness around the importance of eye care, so the store was thrilled to be invited along to local Beaver Scout group, 5th Dunstable Scouts.
Helping group members to earn two extra badges, Emma and Nishita delivered a thoughtful presentation with a big and colourful picture of the eye to help them to illustrate each part.
The Beavers also took away a bag full of treats including a free glasses case, balloons, colouring in and word searches, as well as a voucher for a free sight test for their parents.
Beaver Scout Leader Paulette Tompkins said: ‘Our Leaders and Beavers would like to say a big thank you to Emma and Nishita from Spescavers, for teaching us about our eyes and how opticians test our eyes to check if glasses will help our sight.
‘We had lots of fun trying out their equipment, as well as playing the true and false game and naming the parts of the eye,’ she added.
