A very special visitor paid a visit to the Dundee store to celebrate the upcoming launch of Dundee’s Penguin Trail.
One of the trail’s baby penguin statues dropped by the store during its tour of sponsors and local schools.
For three months, starting from 1 July, the streets of Dundee will be home to a trail of individually designed and beautifully decorated giant penguin sculptures, one of which has been sponsored by Specsavers in Dundee.
The project is being organised by Maggie’s Centre Dundee, in partnership with Wild in Art, and will raise funds to support the charity’s vital work caring for local people affected by cancer.
Jennifer Stephenson, store director at Specsavers in Dundee says: ‘We were delighted to be visited by one of the trail’s miniature penguins. It definitely proved popular with both staff and customers.
‘We are very pleased to support the project and can’t wait to see how our penguin looks once it has been painted.’
