Staff at a Dumfries opticians are celebrating two decades of dedication to eye health as the store marks its 20th anniversary.
Six members of the team at Specsavers in Dumfries are also celebrating being with the store for the same number of years.
Dispensing optician John Scott, dispensing optician and director Joan Scott, optometrist Mark Dickson, retail director Jill Dickson, manager Donna Millar and dispensing optician Susan Sturgeon, have all been with the store since it opened in 1995.
A treat for all staff
To celebrate the landmark occasion, Specsavers treated all staff from the store to an event at Dalhousie Castle in Edinburgh.
Members of the team took part in activities in the afternoon before enjoying a meal in the evening.
Store manager Donna Millar and dispensing optician Susan Sturgeon also received long service awards on the night.
The store, located in the Loreburne Shopping Centre, currently employs 36 members of staff, including 14 registered optometrists and dispensing opticians. In total, the staff have notched up 250 years of experience between them.
Specsavers Dumfries is also a three-time winner of the biennial Specsavers Customer Service Award.

Store director Jill Dickson said: ‘We’re very proud to have had such a successful two decades in the community. Providing care to the people of Dumfries for almost 20 years is a fantastic achievement.
‘Our longevity is undoubtedly down to teamwork. We have a fantastic group of people working at the store and our success over the last two decades is testament to the quality and dedication of our staff.
‘We hope to be able to continue the service we provide to the people of Dumfries for many more decades to come.’
