The team at Specsavers Droitwich have donated more than 400kg of food to the local foodbank over the festive period.

Successful donation

Staff at the store were overwhelmed with the support for the collection which they ran in store over the Christmas break.

On the back of its success the team are going to continue to collect for local people who struggle to provide for themselves and their families.

A word from the store director

‘It’s so heartening to see how much people really do care for those less fortunate than themselves – and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who made a donation to the Foodbank,’ said Specsavers Droitwich store director and optometrist, Emma Singh.

‘We’ve now become a permanent foodbank collection point, so would encourage people to continue to support the cause by donating non-perishable items, long-life foodstuffs, as well as toiletries and essential household items.’
