Specsavers in Droitwich is not only promoting good vision but is encouraging us all to put it to good use with a book sale to raise funds for the local high school.
The store called on the local community to support its book sale which raised money for Droitwich Spa High School’s library.
People were encouraged to make a donation for one of the books available in store or to drop off their unwanted books so that they could be added to the collection.
A word from the store director
‘The summer months are often associated with a good read – whether that’s a novel on the beach, a children’s book to keep the little ones entertained, or some research ahead of the new school or university term,’ said Emma Singh, store director Specsavers Droitwich. ‘So, we thought this was a simple way to help people pick up a book and get reading while raising money for the local school’s library.’
The sale ended on Saturday 8 September – International Literacy Day.
