Staff from a Droitwich opticians went the extra mile for charity by raising more than £600 for Cancer Research UK.

10-mile trek

Six members of staff from Specsavers in the Salters Shopping Centre took part in a 10-mile walk up the Malvern Hills for the charity.

Lab supervisor, Emma Jelfs, says: ‘For most of us, walking 10 miles up the Malvern Hills was stepping out of our comfort zone. But as this cause is so close to our hearts at the moment, we were determined to finish and helped each other along the way.

‘We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Our fundraising page is still open for anyone wishing to donate: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/emma-jelfs’
