The team at Specsavers in Droitwich are collecting non-perishable items and emergency food supplies for the Droitwich Spa Foodbank during September.
Staff are encouraging its customers to donate tins and jars of food, and other long-life foodstuffs, as well as toiletries and essential household items, to help provide food and home parcels to local people in desperate need.
‘The foodbank initiative is something that we take part in every year,’ said store director and optometrist Emma Singh.
'It’s really important to recognise that there are so many people in our community who struggle to provide for themselves and their families. As a local business, it’s our responsibility to help as much as we can.
‘Our previous collection created an amazing donation total of more than 130kg and we’d love our customers to help us top this.’
