The Droitwich Specsavers store held a weekend full of activities for the little ones on 18-19 July to help celebrate the launch of a new range of Disney children’s glasses and raise money for Ellie’s fund. Ellie’s fund has been set up to fundraise for a 10 year old girl with cerebal palsy, who is a close family friend of one of the staff members. She uses a walking frame and wheelchair but has now lost use of both legs, so the store was trying to raise money for an operation to enable her to walk again. The store raised £140 by holding a colouring competition, offering face painting, handed out goody bags and held lots of activities for the children.
The eye-catching new range of glasses for children features Disney film favourites such as Cinderella, Ariel, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and Toy Story’s Jessie and Woody.
