Dorking’s trusted team of optical advisors is delighted to offer local residents an enhanced level of service when it comes to eye health.
Help for minor eye conditions, seven days a week
Four opticians at the store have been specially trained to assist the community with their minor eye conditions (MECS).
This makes Specsavers the only optician in Dorking to provide an enhanced service on behalf of the NHS, thus reducing the need for a customer to visit their local GP or nearby hospital. The end result is a quick diagnosis and immediate treatment.
What are minor eye conditions (MECS)?
As it sounds, MECS can cause eye irritation or discomfort. These conditions can be experienced by anyone - a child to a senior citizen - and could include: sore, red, watery eyes; irritation and inflammation; a foreign body in the eye; discharge from eyes; ingrowing eyelashes and floaters or floaters in the eyes.
How to book an appointment
Simply call the store or book an appointment online. No more waiting to see the GP or book a hospital appointment – the Dorking Specsavers team will be able to see you really quickly.
A word from the store director
Dorking store director Yehia Al-Omari says: 'Our MEC clinics are another tick for us when it comes to achieving clinical excellence. With busy lifestyles and more demand on the NHS, it is great that Dorking can benefit from this eye health service, and access it on their high street.'
