Specsavers in Diss are reaching out to over 60s in the area with a message about the importance of regular eye tests.
The eyecare experts are calling on older members of the community to focus on their eye health this summer, making time for an eye test if they haven’t had one in the last two years.
The team in store will also be offering a drop-in advice service for senior citizens looking to find out more about age-related sight loss.
A word from the store director
Simon Hill, director at Specsavers in Diss, said: ‘While eye tests are important health checks for people of all ages, we know that changes in your vision are a natural part of the body’s aging process, and that you’re more likely to require our assistance as you get older.
‘By finding time for a check-up every two years, we can make sure you receive the support you need.
‘Moreover, early diagnosis of conditions like cataracts and macular degeneration, which commonly associated with old age, can be key in providing effective treatment.’
