School children from Ben Wyvis Primary in Conon Bridge visited a High Street opticians recently to learn more about eye health and the testing process as part of the school Science Week.
Mrs Morrison’s primary three class visited Specsavers Dingwall on Thursday 18 May to learn what happens on a visit to an opticians and store director Gavin Wreath delivered a top tips eye health talk.
The 24 youngsters then left the opticians armed with I-spy packs filled with worksheets, stickers, a frisbee and beach ball.
Taking part in Science Week
Gavin said: ‘It was great to welcome the children in store, they were full of energy and came armed with questions which was great to see.
‘We loved being a part of Science Week at Ben Wyvis Primary which we hope helped to demystify the process of visiting an opticians for a sight or hearing test.’
