Winners of Dalkeith Bowling Club’s biggest annual triples tournament were bowled over by the support of a local opticians.
Specsavers in Dalkeith sponsored the event for the third year in a row, donating a £200 prize fund and providing a trophy and designer specs - worth a combined total of £375 - for the winners.

John Robertson, chairman of Dalkeith Bowling Club said: ‘We would like to thank Specsavers for their sponsorship over the past three years.
‘Local support is key to our success, so having Specsavers Dalkeith on board is great for the club and makes events like this possible.
‘This year we had the best turnout ever for the tournament, and hope that this partnership can continue for years to come.’

Craig Selbie, store director of Specsavers in Dalkeith, said: ‘Dalkeith Bowling Club is very popular in the local community, and a worthy recipient of our support.
‘The tournament is a thoroughly enjoyable day and it is with great pleasure that we can provide some excellent prizes for the event.'
Store staff joined in on the day, sending two teams to take part – bringing the total number of participants on the day to 60.
