Ahead of World Glaucoma Week this March, some of the team at Specsavers Dagenham took some time out of their daily roles in store to build their glaucoma skills.
Staff at the Heathway Shopping Centre store took a course designed by the International Glaucoma Association and Specsavers.
Building staff confidence
It has been put together to help store staff feel more confident offering customers with glaucoma support with how to put in the eye drops that can be so crucial to treating the condition.
Regular eye tests are vital in the early detection of glaucoma, which causes sight loss if it is not identified and managed.
Best possible service
Gurjit Singh Sehmi, store director in Dagenham, said: ‘We were delighted to be able to do this training, as we constantly strive to deliver the best possible service to our customers.
‘Glaucoma has to be carefully managed, so why not pop in and talk to our team today.’
