Specsavers in Cwmbran has donated £450 worth of branded coats for the Cwmbran Town under 7’s football team.
The coats will be used by the 23 youngsters in the team, as well as five members of the club’s coaching staff, for the remainder of the season and beyond. They are branded with the club’s badge as well as the Specsavers logo.
The total donation was valued at approximately £450.
Tony Jones, from Cwmbran Town Association Football Club, says: ‘Having the support of local businesses means our youth teams can continue to thrive and grow in Cwmbran. We’re extremely grateful to the Specsavers store for its generous donation.’
Lending a helping hand
Mark Edwards, retail director of Specsavers Cwmbran, says: ‘Our team are always happy to give local community groups a helping hand, so when Cwmbran Town got in touch we were only too happy to support them.
‘While we specialise in eye care, we also like to play a part in promoting the importance of good health and wellbeing for children in the area. We hope our donation can contribute towards a healthier Cwmbran and the ongoing success of the under 7’s team.’
