The Cumbernauld team collected and donated around £600 worth of toys to a local food bank collection back in December last year, to help ensure that families had some extra special presents for Christmas.

The Teviot Walk store collected the gifts from both colleagues and customers to help support the Cornerstone House Centre charity, which was collecting food, clothing and toys to help support families in need.

Store director, Antonia McNeill dropped off the collection of toys, crafts, dolls and games which were handed out to families and children across the community.

Antonia said: ‘We are always happy to go the extra mile for good causes in our community and Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for some families in the area, especially after what has been a challenging year for all of us.

‘We hope that our donation has helped to spread some extra Christmas cheer and we look forward to continuing to support Cornerstone House Centre with their incredibly vital work throughout 2021.

‘They are open for food donations all throughout the year so and always need the help of the community so we would like to urge locals to support them throughout the year if they can.’

Cornerstone House Centre is a charity organization based in the heart of the Cumbernauld community and provides free local services to residents.
