In aid of World Cancer Day, Specsavers in Cribbs Causeway held a fundraising day and raised more than £200 for children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent, their nominated charity partner for 2018.

The team offered sweet treats to customers and passers-by in return for charitable donations. They also held a charity bake-off in store, where Emma Stroud and Daria Jaksender shared the winners title thanks to their delicious, home-baked goods.

A word from the store director

‘We are very proud to have done this for CLIC Sargent,’ said Cribbs Causeway store director, Gaurav Patel.

‘We would like to say a big thank you to everyone in the local community for their generosity and also to the Cribbs Causeway team who made so much effort on the day.’

CLIC Sargent provides practical, financial and emotional support for children and teenagers who have been diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia.  The charity believes that children with cancer have the right to the best possible treatment, care and support throughout their cancer journey and beyond.
