I thought the chances were non existent
'I went in to Crawley to visit a friend in the local hospice - my friend is very ill with cancer. He had rolled over in his bed and broke his glasses and was very distressed. He asked if I could go in to Crawley to see if I could get them fixed.
'I thought the chances were remote or non existent. However, my friend has little time and I wanted to try to help him be able to see better during his last days. I went in to the store and was greeted beautifully.
'The manager was close by and must have heard my story and came over and said he would look at the glasses and see if he could do something. He did. He fixed them. Thank you, thank you.'
